>PLAYER INPUT - SHIP NAMESSo I think it has been established that the human, or perhaps merely Black Company, tradition of naming spacefaring vessels follows the formula of [noun] of [place], typically that place being a city or region of Fallen Earth.
Examples
>Prince of Megiddo - Battleship>Wolf of Rome - Frigate>Sword of Damascus - FrigateThese are the only ships of the Black Fleet named thus far but there are dozens of other vessels that answer to the Captain, usually split off into several smaller fleets operating on separate contracts. There currently 2-3 cruiser class vessels in operation, each with their own complement of destroyers, frigates and smaller support vessels. Most of these are of human make, either Company manufactured or claimed from Republic of Earth remnants. But anywhere between 1/4 to 1/3 of these vessels have been seized from alien owners, either salvaged from wrecks or commandeered after hostile action.
Right now I'll just take anons input on the kind of names that may be present in the fleet, but next update we'll have a little vote to pass the time (with the most popular selections being the cruiser names). I'll even take write-in for any history in the ship's service, their commanders and notable engagements etc. I reserve the right to veto anything too crazy, but feel free to ask if you worry you're going overboard.
