When you get there, you can see that Holly looks like she's nearly blue and clearly shivering.
"Er... are you cold?" You ask awkwardly.
Stupid question, but it's the first that comes to mind.
She nods.
"Y-yeah... r-really c-cold." She confirms through chattering teeth.
After a moment's thought, you release Sage, then pick her up and hand her to Holly.
"Stay with Holly and keep her warm, Sage." You say as Holly gratefully tucks Sage into her coat, giggling as Sage's ear tufts tickle her chin. She almost immediately looks a little better as Sage snaps at the raindrops falling past her playfully, but doesn't make any move to get away from Holly while doing so.
"Thanks." Holly says. "But aren't you cold?" She asks.
"Not really. I'm walking, you're riding, so the exertion is keeping me plenty warm." You explain, before you fish out your pokedex and start reading.
You're doing some training when you reach the roadhouse.
Ethan's probably done teaching Syurm whatever he was going to teach her by now and your mother should be done teaching Fluffy and you're curious to see how that's gone.
Meanwhile, you've got a bunch of new pokemon to train and another gym challenge coming up and you still don't know all that much about the Silveridge Leader or what sort of challenge they might put you up to.
Either way, training sounds like it's in order and between Queenie, Coolie, Ayumi, Piker and Nika you've got a lot to do.
There's also the question of the Sobble you caught, but you've got a good idea you're going to give it to Tom and you've not had any second thoughts on that resolution.
