"I'm gonna be honest with you, Sam. There's no way in hell that you're Shadow Lord material. I get that they probably sound pretty cool, like a whole tribe of Batmen who do whatever it takes to get the job done, but that ain't you."
"Oh yeah? What makes you so sure?"
"Well, how am I supposed to believe that you're willing to sacrifice everything for Gaia and the Garou Nation, when you care more about your mama's comfort than the threat she poses to the Veil? You're a good kid, Sam. You're not a heartless badass, even if you like the thought of being one."
You just got called out. Despite your best efforts, you can't think of any good response to that. You even blush a little.
"Look, if it's still something you're interested in, I'll see if I can get in touch with a few contacts of mine. For what it's worth, I think you'd fit in pretty well with the Glass Walkers. You're smart and you're used to urban life, which is all we ask for. The Silent Striders aren't a bad choice either, if you're interested in a life on the road. You'd never be a part of their inner circle, since their elders seem to take their Egyptian heritage pretty seriously, but I could think of worse choices. What about the Children of Gaia?"
"What, the hippies?"
"Well, of course a Get like Tilly would call them that, but they're not pacifists. They just like trying to find peaceful solutions to problems before they resort to violence. The point is that they care about people and actually give a shit about saving lives, unlike a lot of other Garou. I think they'd be a good fit for you."
