As a genetor TalOS understood lots about the human body, but as an adept in these newly discovered arts TalOS was but a novice compared to the divine. The arts of the soul was hard to understand but TalOS knew that his soul can feel the flow of the Motive Force. Thus it was reasonable to think that it can have more meaningful interactions with the Motive Force.
Thus TalOS began his examination of the human body in relation to solar radiation. It is a known fact that humans do enjoy the radiation upon their skin and that their bodies were meant to absorb such energy for a certain amount of hours based on pigmentation. Was there more to it than a simple trick upon the mind?
Nerve examination was done by TalOS now, even if he lacked the perfect subjects there were plenty of standard human brains that TalOS could employ to commit to testing his theory. A theory being that the lunar sun was ultimately what gave life energy. It was not the Warp that gave birth to life after all, but the combination of water and radiation which provided the guiding materials for the creation that is life.
To control everything TalOS had the brains stuffed into jars and placed upon the Blackstone Fortress. This way whatever affects he placed upon them would be of his own doing and not that of the Warp.
One cannot describe the difficulty of this experimentation that TalOS was putting these souls through. A Primarch cannot lose count, but one must admit that using fifteen forges worth of Servitors was something that TalOS did not really want to have happen.
Such were the complications as he fought against his own hunger which lashed out at every turn. He was subject to what man causes instinct, and his battle against this instinct was something he only had victories after weeks of meditation upon the Motive Force. What did not help was that the brains that he was interacting with did not have any method of resistance, causing them to be consumed with a mere glance.
In the end TalOS had to always stand several feet away as Servo-Skulls of venerable Priests were placed upon the pedestal for his work. Such was the fact they still held the willpower they held in life, did they resist his soul’s attempt at their damnation.
With a method of deposit made TalOS began feeling out reality around him. With a mental command he ordered the movement of the Blackstone Fortress, gearing it towards the sun which Lucius orbited.
Thus the tests began as he felt the lunar radiation crawl through the chamber and flowing into the chamber.
