The Knights were easily the most pressing of the forces. Where the Astartes and Automata were facing foes that could be on some kind of parody these machines of mankind were not. They were each a pinnacle of mankind’s ingenuity and through their sheer existence honored the Machine God. When the Omnissiah released them it was with the knowledge that this was to be the greatest Lance of Knights ever to be present.
So many different houses were present. Many were from the House Taranis, their presence reaped from the planet of Mars when the forces of Terra cleansed the planet of its evil and brought everything they could to the defense of the Capital-World. They were joined by those of House Raven, Knights that had scored a ride out of Ultramar in an attempt to make the greatest impact they ever could. One cannot forget the two houses of Dutonis, Navaros and Borgius, who both served in the Lucius Auxilia for the longest time in the Great Crusade.
The Pilots knew that their deaths were near. However all of them were of Questor Mechanicus and were showered by the sheer presence of the Omnissiah. Future rider of these mighty mounts would be forced to remember the count of deaths attained when they sat in the presence of their most Divine of beings.
The ground underneath the feet of both Daemon and Astartes shook with rolling thunder, leaving them each stunned for an exacting charge by the warriors. The impact of the Knights itself killed several dozen of the Daemons and left there plenty of room to wreck the bloody toll of treason upon the traitors. Siege Claws and Thunderstrike Gauntlets dug out masses of bodies that were easily hurled across the battlefield in a ball of carnage and devastation.
Among the Slaanesh Daemons were those that champion Slaanesh and were the exactors of its will. Keepers of Secrets, each of them the size of a Knight, quickly began throwing themselves into the chivalric warriors. A few had found themselves wanting, their skill with dagger-like swords and talons that searched for tried to reach for the gap within the armors of those they faced. They found none, their lives being cut short by a Reap Chainsword being dug deeply into the stomach to amplify the pleasure of those creatures.
There were some, however, there quickly became times when those daggers found purchase. How the Daemons would sliver their arms behind the plates and sink their claws into adamantine hulls that were just thin enough.
Everyone who fought was valiant in the attack, but they knew that such a charge will cost them dearly.
