>>6157918As you hang there suspended in the tree, you have a realization: he's right. If you start slacking off in your training just because you're worried about not having the strength to meet the next threat, you won't grow stronger. And if you don't get stronger, if you don't push yourself to your limits and constantly improve, then it won't matter how rested you are, as you won't be strong enough to face the threat regardless. You have to give it everything you've got, one hundred percent of the time.
“Heh. Never thought I'd be getting a lecture about training from you of all people. But you're right.” you reply, clenching your fists and gritting your teeth, drawing upon the full power of the Berserker Soul. Splintering the tree, causing it to go crashing down into the clearing. Cooler leaps back, rising into the air only to see you, Berserker God power now on full display as you hover where you'd been planted in the now-fallen tree only moments ago. “I can't hold back, I have to give it everything I've got! HRRRAAAAAAAAA!!”
“Hmph, that's more like it. HIIIIIIYAAAAAAA!!” he roars, blitzing down towards you as you explode up towards him, the two of you colliding midair. Fists clashing, you now easily overpowering him and sending the gilded emperor flying. But he recovers, flipping backwards once and rocketing back towards you. The two of you continue your spar, now no longer holding back for fear of running yourself exhausted but giving it one hundred percent.
This carries over into all of your training the following day, you not holding yourself back and putting your entire self into each training. Giving it all you've got, not holding back for fear of being confronted when weakened. Pushing yourself to your limits, but as days turn to weeks, into months, as you push yourself further and further, you notice two of your training regimen are showing greater results than the rest. First is your study of the ancient Juyo technique under the Sith phantom Darth Bane. Who also is surprised by your progress, a month into the new year commenting on this.
“I must say, your progress is quite... Surprising.” Bane says, bringing a hand to his chin as your chest heaves in exhaustion after executing the technique properly for the thirteenth time in a row that hour. “You've picked this up much faster than I'd predicted, based off your previous efforts to learn other techniques.”
“Maybe. That's because. This one is. More physical?” you ask between breaths, pushing yourself up off your hands and knees, retaking the Juyo stance. “Let's go again!”
