>>6129670“I'm going to figure out what's going on.” you say, closing your eyes and focusing. Reaching out telepathically, you send a message up to Ubo as he approaches. “Ubo, long time no see. What's going on?”
“Karn? I shouldn't be surprised you can sense me from this far out.” he replies, you almost sensing his smirk. “Well done. Guess it isn't a surprise, but I'm bringing someone special to visit. She and I-”
He starts, but then realizing he gave away more than he wanted clams up for several seconds. Silence hangs between the link until he finally speaks up.
“Shit, I gave it away. Well, you'll see her soon enough. We're going to be making the rounds and see everyone.” he finally says to you, and for just an instant you get a flash of an unfamiliar woman's face through the mental link. You feel his happiness bloom as he thinks of her, you feeling good for your friend. It seems he's found his own happiness out on that far-off world. “Been away for too long, can't wait to show her our world.”
“Well, I'm not going to be in the same spot.” you tell him, feeling his curiosity. So you explain what happened that morning, what Maza had told you, your reaction, and how you and King Vegeta agreed to establish a new city.
“That's... I'm not sure what to say.” Ubo replies, having already covered half the distance between where you'd first sensed him and your world already. “But I'm sure you'll handle this. Might show her the island you used to call home, the sunsets were always beautiful on that side of the ocean.”
“Heh, yeah. I'll see you when you get here.” you tell him, Ubo ending the link as you open your eyes. Your ship, having arrived at the destination has stopped midair, you seeing an already-prepared clearing. The trees have all been removed, several small flags sticking out of the ground at various locations. No doubt marking positions for various buildings.
“Where should we put down, General?” Orlen asks, uncertain. “This datapad doesn't have a location for us on it.”
“What does it have?” you reply, Orlen tapping at it for a few seconds.
“Ah, there we go. A building list.” he says, mumbling to himself for several seconds before speaking up. “Okay, well I see a few different places to touch down, at least for now. There's the designated area for the arena, to the western end. A governor's manor, where the leader of the city, presumably you sir, will have to live. And then there is the just out on the beachfront further east, away from all the other buildings. Where shall we put down?”
Well?
>The Governer's manor, you won't need that building as you already have a home>The arena. The city needs built before you establish an arena>Beachfront, stay outside the city so your ship won't be in the way of construction when it startsNo Write Ins
