However, with a thought to a few memories, the moments that led you to rage hard enough to transform in the past, you quickly acclimate yourself back to wielding it efficiently. However, that's where the easy part of this training ends, less than an hour into a month of effort. For days after the initial start to training, you don't make any progress whatsoever. But after two weeks of trying daily to implement the technique, King Cold has grown increasingly frustrated with your lack of progress.
In the meantime, however, Chaya had reached out to you, explaining her plan for training. That she wants to train with you for one day, and with her mother for one day as well. Three days before her confrontation with the Tuffle, which you of course agree to. Your wife does as well, Chaya saying she wants to work on technique and control with Meloka, then to boost her power and hand-to-hand with you before the battle begins. Which you think is a good plan, keeping her newfound strength a secret as long as possible before the battle commences.
However, in the third week, you begin to understand. It isn't about channeling the Dark Side THROUGH your eyes out into the world like with your eye beams, or like the lightning from King Cold' fingertips out into the world like he'd shown you to try and explain what you were doing wrong. But instead channeling your hatred, your rage and your power INTO your eyes. Filling them with your hate, then focusing your gaze upon someone. The first time you almost get it you see King Cold's eyes widen in shock, only to be quickly replaced with half joy and half disappointment. It still takes a few more days before you manage to actually successfully pull it off, but when you do, Cooler, who'd shown up for your sparring sessions you'd brought back after your three hour daily training with his father tries to teleport away. His image flickers in and out for a few moments, but then his image returns fully. You did it, you successfully pulled it off!
“Well done. Seems you CAN learn, eventually.” King Cold had said to you, while Cooler looked a little worried that you are now able to stop him from fleeing. “It would seem that the past three and a half weeks weren't for naught after all.”
“This is a lot harder than I thought it would be.” you say, focus wavering as you try and speak and hold the technique as well. But it falters, you feeling the sensation fall apart. But you can do it now, you can use it.
