>In a very similar vein, suppose the King dies without any issue and the next eligible male relative is already married, and his children too already married, what does the system have to say about their marriages and the title of Mater Reginae? An annulment might be a convenient way to get around this, and is a political reality, but according to law what is actually supposed to happen is a convocation of Dukes to determine which next eligible (unmarried) descendant of the Royal line, however distant, should be named King. It has happened only twice in Canton's history, and of course was a very messy affair given the number of differing agendas at play.
Ceremoniously solidifying Church and State into an alliance via marriage comes with a lot of benefits. But the downsides of this convoluted succession system are glaring at times.
>>5474724I honestly cannot recall ever mentioning any other children of the King bar his two sons (one mature and one infant) and one daughter.
In fact, I think the only mention of the King's youngest son was Sir Andrei's first meeting with Sir Robert Gilbern in Grenoble in the early threads.
I honestly can't recall mentioning a renowned hunter/knight younger prince, or the slaying of a Fallavon Steed. Is this a turtlewolf situation? It does sound pretty cool.
>>5474797That's very touching my dude, incredible actually. Always turn down +5DC when the moral cost is too high and continue on your knightly path.
>>5475072Hello anon, I didn't count your initial vote but so long as you link back from now on welcome aboard.
I'll try not to make a habit of allowing this.
>>5475431Sir Heinrich Norwache joined you on your journey from Fallavon to Pascae, but did not join you on your voyage.
Anons turned down a couple of interaction options with him during your time in Port Bounty, so we never really explored his character in depth or his motivations. He's never approached the level of sworn man retinue status like Sir dan Marc or Brother Rousseau. In fact, if I'm being honest, he's more of an acquaintance than a friend if I'm reading the interactions correctly. I didn't think there was that personal connection to justify putting him on the POV options.
>>5475970I REALLY want to touch on this with my two cents, but of course I can't.
>>5476176Jess was below deck being miserable pretty much the entire time, given her injury. Her enthusiasm for the ocean has currently waned.
