>>5940641>Bow and arrow, kukri The conman closes the distance, aiming his sword at your torso. You have no time for your bow, you sidestep and slash along his forearm, ripping his rough hewn sleeve. He yells in pain, turning toward you. Giving yourself distance, you draw your bow and loose an arrow into his leg.
A full scream is the man's reply, dropping his sword and falling to the ground. You hear the children scattering away from the area. Picking up his shortsword, you drag him away from the playfield, into a shadowed alley.
You roughly drag him up against a wall, tearing his hood back. An unremarkable man, plump of face and bald. “Who do you work for?”
He gritted his teeth, clutching his arm. “The Baron of the Black Alleys. Getting rid of you lot.”
“Hmph. Never heard of him. What do you know about him?”
“He's willing to break your hold on North Quarter. Filthy demon-blood. I used to run a stall–” You grab the arrow in his leg and twist it. A cascade of screams come out of his lips.
“Between this arrow and your arm, you'll bleed out soon. Tell me where this Baron is.”
He snarls up at you. “Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you.” You feel like this man, on the brink of death, is telling the truth. Who knows what your gang did to him. You don't recall his face. But he was selling bad demon summoning guides. Who knows how bad the rituals within would go awry. You had to remember to follow up on any copies sold to the teenagers.
But now you had to decide his fate.
>1. Kill him and leave him as a ruined corpse for his comrades. (Slayer)>2. Write a warning how he worked against the true masters of Creation above his corpse. (Malefactor)>3. Return him to Sagacious Spidersong for further questioning (Defiler)>4. Drag his corpse to a nearby Temple of the Three, tear off his clothes and nail the more lurid passages above his corpse. (Scourge/Fiend)
