“Eyes, you still there?” You ask into your helmet.
“Yes, how can I help you?” Answers the disembodied voice.
“I want to create a new alarm; a system warning is fine. Something to relocate these guards, so I can sneak by them. Make them go check on something and get out of our way. I don’t want the Kedi to catch us.” Relaying your idea, before finishing with, “You’ve served us well. If you ever make your way to Sith space, reach out to me. I would be happy to employ your services again.”
The man chuckles into his mic, “Thank you very much. If that ever happens, I will make sure you are the first person I contact. I’ll get on with spoofing a false-positive in a way that won’t be traceable. Give me a minute.”
Giving a quick glance to the security feeds, making sure there is nothing to cause alarm, your eyes return to Seyra. Despite her form being hidden beneath a thick cloak, her beauty remains radiant. Her face is one sculpted for an angel with the same marble white like a statue of beauty personified, piercing blue eyes that glow with wicked intelligence, and long, sharp ears that point out of her flowing hair. Thankfully, Seyra can not see your eyes hidden behind the visor, but you think she might suspect something by the way she glares at you.
Returning to your previous conversation, “I’ve promised you I won’t kill you unless you betray me. Check my track record. I promised Murl I was going to kill him – he’s now dead. I promised you a Lightsaber – you have one around your waist. You have nothing I need, I have no reason to kill you unless I wanted zero competition and was on an insane goal to kill every Sith to prove myself as the greatest ever. You have shown how useful you are. Without you, this would have been a very different mission. I want to use you in the future, and I have shown that when you work with me, there’s profit to be had. Finally, if you haven’t forgotten, I did have a chance to kill you earlier, on the Glorious Gallows. You are still here.”
Seyra scowls, then chews her lip as she thinks, replying with a hint of weariness, not trusting you or the words forming on her tongue. “Maybe those are all good reasons, but I don’t trust you. Not fully. But enough for now, for this mission. I will accept your argument, if not only to shut you up.”
