Landing in the Blue Bay, the salty air and fog from the nearby water is blown away by your ship's exhaust fumes as you land on the soft, wet earth. In fact, the moment you touch down, your ship sinks a bit into the mud, tilting on its side.
From the moment you set up camp with the onions; you can already see something in the water out there- it's your ship part of this area! Unlike other areas, where they were far away and guarded, this one was right here- just off the shore in the water. As long as you have blue pikmin, it's easy enough to go out there and pick it up!

It isn't enough to fully repair them, nor is it a permanent solution, but replacing your ship's basic air filters with these and plugging your suit in to remove its toxic containment, the filtration matrix grants you an additional number of days to your time limit!
...Huh, that was fast. Still, you already took the time to fly out here and touch down, so going back up now would be a waste of today. Surely you can find something to occupy your time.
