Those of properly ordained acolytes and priests will be more elaborate, and have the half robot skull to symbolize their ordainment into the cult proper.
I'm not sure where the idea that the Katholics 'discover machinery in its first form' is coming from QM though. We have examples of machinery from the greeks and romans. Is that just some historical degradation? Malcador wouldn't be very pleased we let history slip so.
