But off-screen decisions don’t lead to good results, you must choose wisely who to bring, you want to keep it between the group that knows you’re here — so either Vera, Liu, or Lydie. If only you could combine them into one large and powerful navigator who becomes omnipotent, and grows too cocky and wants to take over the city. It’s not a sin to wish for a Navigator Kaiju…
“I have three names in my head.” You know this is a tough decision.
“Do I know them?” Celia asks.
“Yeah, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise.” You know it’s more difficult to shut the idea down if they’re here. Celia is not heartless… You think. “I’ll ask them to decide among themselves who is worthy; instead of trying to find a way to fuse together into an unholy abomination.”
“You’re going to suggest that to them, aren’t you?” Celia is learning lots about you.
“Pfft, me? Advising that nonsense? Get real.” You’re taking this mission seriously! “I’m gonna text them all…”
With all the invitations delivered, confirmations were sent back, all you can do is relax and wait for the team to gather…
Celia forced you to send them a code to unlock the door. When you hear it whispered through the door, it means it’s time for the introductions — and first, it’s the most nonsensical one. A tall woman wearing a trench coat, a detective hat, sporting large arms — and wheels for feet appears. Whoever is on top smashes her forehead on the door frame. She shouts in pain.
“Ehem! Salutations, Johnny and Celia! It is I! Your great navigator, powered by three peerless minds!” Lydie’s voice comes out of that thing, just 10 times more flowery, and deeper for some reason. It doesn’t sound in any way similar to the yelp of pain that just happened. “Give me a handshake, lad.”
The monstrosity slaps you in the face as she can’t control her body. It’s too unwieldy! One grumbles about spending a long time practicing this one trick.
“Err, I meant to say a five of high altitude! Higher than usual!” Lydie (?) coughs. The head is not moving her mouth, you think she’s out. “I’m Veliudye! The mighty tower of navigation! A lighthouse of brilliance, if you may! It’s an honor to meet you, Cereal!”
“Are you all fucking with me right now?” Celia doesn’t want to admit she wants to laugh at this nonsense. Hiccups can be heard from within the lighthouse.
“Don’t blame me, this isn’t my idea at all, Breakfast.” You think. Can you be certain? Really?
“It wasn’t mine either! One of my multiple personalities is to blame!” Veliudye won’t admit her full fault. “If only more than one of Johnny’s brilliant allies were invited. I’ll think about a random number. Oh yes, 3. If only 3 more were invited! Instead of one beautiful disaster!”
