“Dammit! I WILL avenge you, mom.” you think to yourself, mind ablaze with hatred and sorrow, loss and rage, pain and determination as you run. Proverbial tail tucked between your legs as the remains of your adoptive mother Bulma's lab is obliterated by that monster behind you. Tears streaking down your cheeks, unable to keep them in, you can do nothing more than run. That monster Black keeps destroying the area, focusing on the buildings closest to her lab. Clearly thinking you'd tried taking refuge there and not running further. Or perhaps sending a message as you, without looking back, keep suppressing your power so you can't be found while running. Fleeing towards the abandoned Capsule Corp headquarters you both once called home.
“I will do it, mom. No matter what it takes, I'll save everyone and avenge you.” you mutter, turning down a dark alley, sticking to the shadows as you keep heading towards your goal. If you could risk flying, it would only take a few seconds at full speed. But with Black in the area, actively causing destruction you don't dare. Holding the final hope for your time to your chest, clutching the last chance for your timeline's survival. If you can't make it to the past, to get their help, then everything she fought for, her sacrifice would have been for- “No. Stop. Think positive, like Mom taught you. You can't give in, you can't give up. Everyone's counting on you.”
As you slip through the darkness, making your way towards the large Capsule Corp building, the world around you starts spinning. Your stomach growls in pain, reminding you haven't eaten in several days. Forcing you to drop in exhaustion down to a knee, panting in exhaustion.
“Dammit, no. Not yet. I can't. Give. Up.” you mutter, clutching the precious fuel to your chest. But with your body in this condition, you're not going to make it. You're going to have to make a short detour, to somewhere closer to get a meal and recover before finishing the trip. Shaking it off you force yourself up, changing course. Instead of heading directly to Capsule Corp, you instead head to the one man you can trust. His home is between here and there, if you can make it he'll help you. So, you forcibly keep moving, stumbling down the darkened back alleyways and through ruined buildings. Slowly making your way to his home, barely managing to make it to his door. “Please, be home. Please.”
