In fact it's far more humane to do this than not to. Why would we needlessly expose humans to all the terrors, the horrors that the galaxy throws at them, when in the very least we can grant them the same level of fearlessness and immunity from pain gifted to so many both among mankind and even to other races such as the Necrons.
To willfully demand that humans embrace the tortures that the xenoskind will inflict upon them on the battlefield, such as the perfidious dark eldar, is extremely inhumane.
