[MORGRIM] "Eeeereeeghh... erhg..."
The Beast Count's head fell low, and Morwenna approached him now. He was weak, too weak to continue fighting. I saw her raise her claw at her brother, and a sickly green hue emanated from his shattered skull into her palm.
[MORWENNA] "I have t... taken it back... bro-th-ther. All my powerrrr... that I gave to jhu."
[MORGRIM] "Kegh... heheheh... and now what, Ssssisterrr? You kill me with your Blighted touchh-chuh?! Errrrgh! And end this.... Crussssade? Kghu... no... no. It is not over. Not by a long shot. Thou mayest end me, but the crussssade will continue, even if not by our claws anymore. They will keep coming... Outsidersss will never leave us be. They will come hunting, and find us. By giving our souls to the Dark Lord, we might have stood a chance..."
[MORWENNA] "Jhu are w...wrrhhhong, brooother. I vill protect them!"
[MORGRIM] "For how long...? You cannot last forever, if I cannot. Thou hast only sealed our fffff-ff... fate. The Ssssun will never shine here again."
[MORWENNA] "The sssun, never shined in the firrrssst place."
Morwenna raised her finger, and touched the last bit of Morgrim's snout that remained. Morgrim shuddered, and then crumbled. His body gave out, his Demigodhood was obliterated. The body of the Beast Count began to become dust, and whatever was inside the cloak of fur that he wore collapsed with a meaty squelch and rattle of bone.
The Beast Count was no more, and Morwenna was again the Countess of Blickery. I felt the trace remnants of the Dark One's influence vanishing from this court, and soon after, the island itself.
The Beastkin Crusade was over.
