>>5222336>>5222405Good points. Rather than exposition I had the habit of using increasingly purple prose since I could usually distill the core idea of what the update was supposed to convey.
It's certainly part of my style when I don't go out of my way to lengthen updates but it was tiring to look for ways to spice up the writing even after so much work had been done.
I guess a better question is what do you think is the minimum character count for a healthy sized update? I obviously wouldn't skip out and would try and convey the idea completely but I still feel like for daily updates there is a minimum requirement to "get your money's worth."
>>5222405Such is the destiny of all Type-Moon quests, brought to ruin by the madness burst forth from burning loins. I don't know, thinking about it I could see myself doing a Fate Quest of sort potentially. But I'm moderately educated in Nasuverse lore and really I'm not a fan of most of it, Grail Wars in general are kind of a stupid/limiting concept. If I was going to do it I would instead create an amalgamation of Fantasy Europe with altered geography to allow for things like the Greeks and the Spartans to go at it. I would also only heavily feature the tomboy and Amazon servants because the franchise has very few other redeeming qualities. I would definitely try to make them more interesting by putting my historical research to good use and bring them more in line with their respective myths and cultures.
For example, at one of the rumored graves of King Arthur they found a 9ft tall skeleton, therefore instead of a being a flatty, this Universe's Mordred would would be a gigantic, beefy titty monster in tight, form-fitting ring mail. Only a tasteless fool believes that historical accuracy and eroticism are mutually exclusive concepts. My drawfag will probably have enough time to sneak in a few more "historically accurate" depictions.
Who knows, maybe I'll "invent" some new "servants" based on lesser known historical figures. Like that one absolute fucking mad lad of Scandinavian King I forgot the name of who somehow managed to stage a coup, fight in like 30 different wars all over the from Jerusalem to Norway while also also having a metric of shitload of different hobbies such as bowl making, art and playing the lute.
I don't know we'll see, in off chance I do run it it's certainly going to be a unique departure from how most fate stories usually go. I guess I'll end this idea rant with one of the funniest myths I've ever read. Gotta love the crazy shit people came up with in ancient times.
