>>5682678Emitia Rouzet's estate is so magnificent that it rivals even the descriptions of Thiala Summerbreeze's castle. It is an immaculate structure of stonework painted with alabaster and cerulean stacked several stories high, surrounded by a courtyard of garish greenery and gaudy statues, all enclosed in an impassable fence of wrought iron. Two winged statues resembling grotesque winged humanoids flank either side of the gate, in front of which vegetates a figure clad in plate armor, their face obscured by a helmet.
"I have business with Emitia," you tell them, shutting your eyes and steadying your breathing as you try in futility to put the unpleasant conversation with the traitor Arara behind you. "Is the Lady expecting you?" He inquires, remaining dead-still. "I have a permit," you state, holding it to his face. Mustering the minimum effort required to skim the document, he responds. "Huh. Sin-dee-ruh? Weren't you in the news?"
"That was me," you affirm, leaning towards him. "Now let me in." Grumbling under his breath, the gatekeeper ushers you into the courtyard, directing you to the estate's entrance. "Just continue down this path, and someone else will help you. If you're thinking about starting trouble, don't." You shrug. His threats are naught but idle bluster.
Of course, you needn't necessarily heed his instructions...
>My goal is within reach. I shall head directly for the entrance.>A walk around the area would be pleasant. I may chance upon something pertinent to my quest.>[Perception] There is something most unnatural about these statues which I cannot quite place...>I will chat with the gatekeeper for a moment. There must be something he can tell me about Emitia, being her servant.
