I don’t get all the politics, but that’s what I understood. He didn’t bother to tell me much, he thinks I’m too much of a meathead to get the specifics, it seems the bastard forgot where we met.”

“Yeah, that’s what I’m saying.” Vera dryly retorts.

She won’t let that happen, trust me, I met her and she’s a lovely lady.” Bodil pats Vera’s head. “She’s one of those sanctimonious people who believe they play bigger roles in life than us mere mortals, but are willing to sacrifice their lives for the greater good and what not. I can’t admire them, they act like they believe in a bigger purpose, but don’t really believe in anything but that the act of sacrifice is holy. It’s like they forget to be human. Like happiness only exists on a bigger scale.”
“Putting your happiness over others, huh?” Vera stares at you… with her eyes closed… After what that thug said, you’re starting to wonder how this mousy lady can see anything.
