This choice is one of the most Important because once your base inclination is set, making decisions in the opposite direction are much less likely to succeed. Acting within your Karma rewards you with Karma Points for either side RP for Renegade and PP for Paragon. These Points can be spent on Unique Dialogue, Unique Perks, and Special Actions in Combat.

You endured torture and psychological stresses that would have broken most others at your age. You were the only one that kept your friends spirits up during this madness but it wasn't enough. You watched your friends being sold off as slaves or beaten to bloody pulps for fun or murdered and having their organs removed for sale. Your actions in that skirmish were astounding, your natural instincts in fighting for your age helped tremendously in the survival of the colony and you were named a local hero for your actions. You even helped in the peace negotiations between your colony and the batarians. (Paragon)>Ruthless- When you were 13 you garnered a reputation for being brutal, cold and calculating. In the last raiding party by the Batarians 5 years ago when you were 13 ended the surrendering Batarians began to flee and your fellow colony members stopped firing but you never did. You gave fiery speech about how they will never stop coming unless you give them a reason to fear you all. You ruthlessly murdered the fleeing Batarians and coaxed others around to do the same. Also to speed up the character creation could you guys also decide on a Name and Gender for your character. I will probably post the first story update tonight and leave it up for the night and pick up tomorrow.
