You sneak a peak at the book she's reading, and you recognize it as a tome on magical creatures. Just as you're about to speak, she looks up and catches you staring. You quickly apologize, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare. I just noticed you were reading a book on magical creatures. I'm Dean, by the way."
She smiles and introduces herself, "I'm Ginny. Ginny Weasley. Nice to meet you, Dean."
You strike up a conversation about magical creatures, both of you clearly passionate about the subject. Ginny is incredibly knowledgeable and you find yourself hanging on to her every word. As the conversation progresses, you can't help but notice the way she bites her lip when she's excited about something or the way her eyes light up when she talks about her family.
Suddenly, the room falls silent as the celebrity student Harry Potter enters. You watch as Harry walks over to your table and stands beside Ginny, looking directly at you. "Who are you talking to?" he asks, his tone sharp and unfriendly.
You feel a knot form in your stomach but try to remain calm. "I'm Dean, a Ravenclaw in second year," you say, introducing yourself. "I'm actually in the same class as you." Before you can say much more, Harry leaves abruptly and with clear anger on his face. Ginny looks at you, confused and wondering why Harry would react that way. But to you, it's clear that Harry is interested in her and was upset that she was spending time with you. You can't help but feel a sense of fear, knowing that Harry is powerful and well-connected. You hope that this encounter doesn't lead to any trouble for you.
Luckily, the tension slowly dissipates, and you decide to grab a book from the nearby shelves. You reach for a book about Ancient Runes, one of your optional fields of study, and bring it back to the table. Ginny looks intrigued and leans in as you open the book.
"Wow, this is fascinating," you say as you scan the pages. "Did you know that Ancient Runes were used to communicate with magical creatures?"
Ginny nods, looking impressed. "I didn't know that. What else does it say?"
You flip through the pages, reading out loud. "It says here that Ancient Runes were also used to create powerful spells and enchantments. They were considered to be the cornerstone of all magical knowledge."
Ginny's eyes widen. "That's amazing. I've always been interested in Runes, but I never knew they were so important."
Before you know it, the library is about to close, and you both have to leave. Ginny looks at you with a small smile, "This was really fun. We should do this again sometime."
You feel a rush of excitement at the idea, and you can't help but grin from ear to ear, "I would love that, Ginny. Let's definitely do it again."
