<span class="mu-s">"Hey, Doc. Those .app files you had... Any way for Digimon to run them?"</span>
"I'm sorry, it's not adapted for your code. There are only certain categories of them that function. I believe you're familiar?"
Phascomon looks towards Solarmon and nods.
<span class="mu-s">"Physics stuff."</span>
"Nothing like Sp00f then? He can't use it to bypass the bots?"
"I'm afraid not, he'll have to sneak on his own. And speaking of which, your decision to handle the Hospital silently was a good one. I'm glad you didn't stir up more heat for yourself."
You beam at him.
"Not a trace. Not till the end, at least."
He shakes his head.
"Oh don't go getting too big for your britches now. I said it was good. It wasn't traceless. You looped the camera feed?"
You raise an eyebrow and nod sharply, leaning forward to listen.
"Then they can trace your path through the Hospital by reviewing the footage and identifying the repeated cuts. There'll be gaps, of course, but many of these cameras must have captured background objects that should be moving in a pattern. Or they may have timestamps marked on the footage itself, which would cause overlaps. There's always a way to tell, if they have an intelligence expert on the scene."
<span class="mu-s">"So what does that mean for our mission?"</span>
"It was satisfactory, but never let yourself feel completely safe. I don't know if it's good advice out there, where you're going, but that's how it is here. Always imagine the enemy has a secret weapon. I don't want you getting complacent and letting them slip something past you. Like the clock speed."
"How do we get past that in the future?" You ask.
"You don't, it's completely out of your hands. You just need to be careful of your time. But don't worry, I doubt he can pull the same trick over and over. It was just bad luck you ran into a wily bastard, and good luck you had a minute to spare."
He doesn't want to rain on your parade, but he's still fussing over you for your own safety.
