They are organised into hunting parties and sent into the great Grascan, where they follow the tracks of these roving thieves to their hideaways. Those who survive these raids are brought back as slaves, to serve the Protavic by performing the most menial and backbreaking tasks.
The blood-drinkers become quite accustomed to their new role as slavers, which leads to developments that some of the tribe consider unpleasant. During the most peaceful years, the Vuvovic slake their thirst by ritually slaughtering some of the slaves and drinking their sticky brown blood. They consider them their property to do as they please with – after all, they were their ones who caught most of them – and the rest of the tribe is too intimidated to put a stop to this new tradition.
A generation passes.
These slave-catching expeditions often lead to the Vuvovic disappearing for months at a time as they venture out into the wilderness. Their travels take them far away from the Croglatol and in the worst cases, they can end up lost in the Grascan for years or never return at all. This leads to the development of way-finding techniques and even primitive maps among the blood-drinkers, who would rather not lose more of their warriors to the forest.
>The civilisation gets -1% Scavic – Vuvovic (Warrior Caste) Population.>The civilisation gets +0.05 Technology. As their travels take them further and further from the Croglatol, the tribe gains a better understanding of land beyond the lake. The further north they venture, the colder it is. The further south they venture, the warmer it is. Though some parts are hillier than others, the all-encompassing woodland makes it difficult to distinguish one part of the Grascan from any other.
The most notable landmarks are rivers, which serve as habitats for many other tribes who make their settlements along their banks. Though there are countless streams that flow through the forest, only four of them are large enough to be of major note, and each of them serves as a home for thousands of Scavic tribesmen.
