You decide to introduce the termites and the birds to each other. You get the kindest and most charismatic birdperson you can find to approach a tribe of termitepeople. They spend a while laughing and talking with each other, and generally having a good time until one of the termitepeople kills the birdperson with a rock. They then feed the birdperson to the babies of the tribe. It seems the termitepeople are willing to kill anyone, even if that person is someone they enjoy the company of.
