Breathe in. Breathe out.
“That is an answer I cannot give you. Not yet.”
“You know that the Imperium is in peril. Haemotalion stands in our way.”
“Our?” Your eyes flick toward the Inquisitor. “My concern has always been for the Imperium. Just because we have our interests aligned does not make us allies.”
“But our interest does align.”
“Yes, but you cannot suddenly ask for me to spy on the man who mentored me for all my life.”
You rub your temples, the blooming scent of amasec did not help your headache. Neither did the fluorescent light, you were getting rather sick of that pale light and the walls.
You bend your head back, and finish the glass of amasec then fix your gaze at the Inquisitor. “I. Need. Time.”
The Inquisitor nodded. “Very well. Again, I thank you for your service here. Good day.”
“Are you leaving now?”
“I am, there is much work to be done.”
You spent the rest of the time in your office. Asurma would be the new ‘Sister Commander’ of the citadel, and there were much that you didn’t uncover in time. You snuggled into your bed and closed your eyes. Sleep soon came.
Thunk.
Thunk..
Thunk…
BLAM!
You shot out of your bed. Between you and the door, all you heard was absolute pandemonium. Bolter fire, las fire, and horrifying screeches and wet squelches. The door opened. Behind the skiitari was pandemonium. Daemons.
“Priority target located.” The skiitari said icily. “Extracting priority target.”
Without asking the skiitari grabbed you by your waist and hefted you over his shoulder followed by two more skitarris. He tossed you into a small storage room.
“Ow!”
“Stay here. Your location is now marked. Do not leave.”
“Hey wai-”
The door shut on its own.
>Try to get out
>Stay silent
>Bang on the door to get someone to get you out
>Write-in
