>>5816365I am pursuing another weird obsessive obscure hunt, this time for concept art / inspiration images specifically of futuristic stock exchanges. I know of the one in Master Of Orion 2 but that game is pretty old. In reality, the future stock exchange probably just looks like a heap of servers or mainframes given all trading is algorithmic / just Jim Simons Medallion Fund at Renaissance Technologies LLC disguising tax evasion, but I am interested to see how sci-fi films / art / books / videogames depict this sort of future vision. (4x or maybe EVE online? I don't know much about EVE unfortunately)
I would settle for illustrations (not AI generated) of any imagined space opera marketplace or commodities exchange. I guess Mass Effect also had the data brokers? What other films or games depict scenes like this?
Pic related is from some random architecture firm speculative design concept, for an imagined Tehran Stock Exchange lol. I like this building design, it looks a bit like a d6 dice cube tilted on the side but it is also a bit like a truncated antiprism (the cutaway interior cross section reveals that each floor possesses a different distinct geometric layout) so it assumes this distorted rhombic appearance. If only they had not delayed Dune 2 release, this future architecture is just a few Middle Eastern wars and cosplay conquests away from becoming reality
