The two of you exchanged a brief salute, before she and Frank stepped through the portal.
Once they both stepped through, the portal closed behind them, leaving only you and Ana to stare at the place where she'd once been.
[red]"And there she goes. The coolest nanny I've ever met."[/red]
That earned a small snort from Ana.
[green]"Yes. The great Elsa Bloodstone, still looking out for me and my family, after all these years."[/green]
Maybe she wouldn't be too opposed to looking out for the Parker family as well. Food for thought.
[red]"Not a bad friend to have. Especially if you're preparing to hunt an army of crazed vampires."[/red]
Ana chuckled a bit at that.
[green]"Maybe not an army of 'crazed' vampires. An army of regular vampires would be far more manageable."[/green]
[red]"Is that a sense of humor that I detect there? Maybe we should call back Elsa, because this might be the spookiest thing that I've seen all day."[/red]
She gave your arm a playful punch that left it throbbing in pain. You rubbed at the sore spot that would undoubtedly turn into a bruise later. The two of you turned around and started walking back towards the hotel. You weren’t that worried about being seen anymore. Not after that incredibly public display of fighting those Archdemons.
At this point, where every other Family member was putting together separate strike teams for the Atlas Foundation gig, seeing costumed individuals such as yourself out on the streets wasn't the most unusual thing in the world. The major players in this city are trying to pull in some extra muscle to compensate for their lack of a team of professional thieves.
The Prowler’s been working on keeping track of any notable individuals, but there's no telling who they've got squirreled away. You already knew that Gloria wouldn't be the only person shoving her weight around. It was just that everyone else had been on the receiving end for so long that you thought you could keep running circles around them.
And somehow, some way, word of the hidden treasure stored within the abandoned facility had started to circulate throughout the city. Now, not only were the biggest players coming for a slice of the pie, but so were the freaks and weirdos who thought they could strike it rich by raiding this place. Although, you were genuinely curious as to how many of them could afford submarines, scuba gear and all the other crazy shit they'd need to survive down there.
Well, one way or another, you'd find out tomorrow.

When the day to set off for the facility arrived, you felt that you couldn't quite shake that giddy feeling you had right before you were about to start a big job you'd been building up in your head.
And it was a good thing, too. It was about the only thing keeping you from passing out during this dry debrief.
