Perhaps it would be <span class="mu-i">needy</span> to insist. You grab the medicine with some reluctance, trying to imagine an excuse... Although, unfortunately, your home only has three beds so, maybe you're not <span class="mu-i">quite</span> ready to share yours with a friend?
"Would it be fine for me to visit in two days? I have to take care of a few commissions tonight and'd like to visit the enclave tomorrow.'' Augustine brings you out of your reverie.
''Of course! But, can you get where I live?''
''I remember from our grocery trip.'' She takes an unfortunate step back. ''I live in the northern residential district, if there's an emergency with the girls then you ought to be able to find me in the church or the monster village. See you soon Rey! Canaan!'' As she begins to leave, she suddenly spins around to face you and your mom. ''That medicine also works as a sedative so you should expect Seyraphal to sleep a full twelve hours after ingestion!''
And like that, she walks away quickly disappearing into the crowd.
''Your friend seems quite nice, though something feels a bit strange about her.''
''What do you mean?''
''Nothing negative.'' Canaan doesn't look at you, her gaze fixed on the marketplace crowd. ''<span class="mu-r">Just a feeling.</span> Let's go get some food, apparently Warrior species need to eat a <span class="mu-s">lot</span> to regain their peak health. Our labor hiring is gonna wait.'' A new purse dangled next to your mom's sword, you decided to go bother that mean-spirited Brienne a second time.

Your mother wanted to leave Eichenwald quickly and you didn't slow her down with meaningless talk. You exited through one of the makeshift gates of the city, and you easily followed her brisk pace to make some actual distance with the remaining crowds of... farmers? Laborers? The presence of peacekeepers without mercs gave you some comfort that the way home wouldn't suffer interruption.
Still, you came this morning as a family of three and now you're walking back as two. Your dad was fine, but it still felt <span class="mu-i">wrong.</span>
''I think it'll take those mercs a day or two to figure out where we live if they want to retaliate.''
''That's rather glum, mom.'' The peaceful scenery of surrounding farms didn't fit this conversation.
''Maybe I'm too dramatic.'' She continues, fiddling with her hat. ''<span class="mu-b">I'm glad I listened to you</span> because stuff did get dramatic over there. Finding the damn place is what took me far longer than it should have.''
Stopping there, your mom makes a brief inspection of the evening horizon, the sun halfway down its daily retreat, no busybody to overhear.
''Found your dad almost in the middle of a fight, around 10 mercs had gathered to block the exit and a big bitch was keeping him from leaving with the two weakened Mamonos. Minotaur, I didn't catch her name but she -really- didn't want him to leave with the girls.''
Oh dear, this likely degenerated...
