The sounds of jets came through the small streets of the Xenos as the Astartes began their patrol. The searching was conducted in a simple grid pattern that adopted the unique layout of the village to their Machine Spirits. Some registrations of volkite-fire was created as lone Xenos were found and eliminated.
Each target only took one shot though. None could defend themselves against the Astartes.
Captain of the Fifth Company Lorch was guided through the largest of the streets by his cohort of closely trusted Astartes and a couple of Acillians. The Acillians, he noted, were filling their shared map of the city with numerous weak points the infrastructure held. Everything was noted to be demolished as the Duke decreed, and the Armiger support that was coming over would be the best at riding the planet of Xenos taint.
He felt a slight nostalgia once again brush against his mind. The memories of a long distance world and an era of combat that was a short human lifetime ago. With the Blackstone Fortress away the Astartes began to feel his gut again, and it was telling him of a specific building that was ground level.
“Heimer and Wick, check that building. Make sure you check under the floorboards and in the attic.” Ordered Lorch as he felt the death of a few Dozen Xenos cross his mind.
With that done and over with they continued on to the place of education. As the L3KT mentioned it was a concentration of Xenos and it had the greatest amount. As it was education Lorch could only guess they were juveniles. And of course, when one speaks of Juvenile Psykers, it becomes a very dangerous prospect.
“When we arrive we will act within two minutes.” Declared the Astartes as he allowed his voice to rock through the Vox network, “Prepare the Domicide as these are Oxygen-Carbon lifeforms. Prepare for psychic kick back as they begin to succumb to treatment.”
To that he received a bunch of vocal affirmations and declarations from his men. While work on the gunnery decks was surprisingly nice, it was good to finally practice a clean sweep of a battlefield.
