“Mr. Bombastus, a word if possible?” You approach the foreigner scientist. Huh, now you notice that you seem to be taller. A victory for Prancijan.
“Yes! Absolutely!” Professor Bombastus walks alongside you away from everyone else to have a private conversation. You’re standing at the edge of the stage. “I never thought I’d be challenged to an actual duel again! Friendly or not! This country is full of surprises! But I thought it’s customary to do it at sunset...”
“It is still.” You can’t say for sure here in Lokyo, regions tend to differ in customs. But in the majority of plays you’ve seen they tend to be before daylight fades.
“A foreigner like myself couldn’t be part of real one?” Prof. Bombastus doesn’t look amused anymore.
“It’s nothing like that, the time of day is irrelevant. I’m here to win, Professor.” You drop the pretense that this isn’t competitive.
“HAHA!” Professor Bombastus laughs loudly. “GREAT! Show me what you got! I can tell this will be closer than last time! Prancijan’s pastry didn’t impress, but you, you might be a different story. You changed Dorothy.” Did the Professor lose his accent? “My dear Assistant was vehemently anti-cake, but yesterday, she begged me to be here!”
“Good.” You’re glad Dorothy kept her promise as intended.
“I saw a wonderful side of her, all shy, all cherry, all cute! I wanted to hug her! She’d kill me if I did. But maybe, if she fully accepts cake, she’ll open up!” Bombastus wants Dorothy to have character growth. “I commend your ability, Detective. But even if your cake surpassed mine in her heart, it’ll all change in a matter of minutes. Now I’m fired up to get this affair of honor started!”
“Hold onto your horses, Professor. There’s something I need to say.” You calm him down.
“What is it, my good man?” Professor Bombastus asks.
<span class="mu-s">What do you do?</span>
>“Professor, by any chance do you have a green spirit in your possession?” Get directly to the point and ask now.
>“If I beat you tonight, will you be willing to answer some of my questions later?” You’ll bet.
>“Could you do me a favor and check on Ema?” You haven’t forgotten about her.
>“Good luck.” Extend your hand.
