>>5512721>Hunt Murkrow.Murkrow it is. You take a long sip of water from your canteen, angrily eyeing the shitters hovering above your truck. The Tranquil is preening itself, oblivious to the rage that it's causing you. You suppose they gravitated towards the one vehicle in the area due to its familiarity, after being driven from Stewview or somewhere close by. They get to live, but they're on thin. Fucking. Ice.
Scyther accompanies you towards a thick copse of trees. The density of the canopy provides a place for the darkness-loving Murkrow to hide. So begins your hunt. Attacking them one by one is how trainers do it when they're trying to make their Pokémon stronger. Doing that would take too long, and be exhausting for the both of you. You'll have to use guerrilla methods to herd them and overwhelm groups at once. Your target soon comes into sight: A group of four Murkrow. Sending Scyther out to fight means that they'll either flee, or attack him directly. Taking on four with their gusts of wind might be rough. You have a plan in mind.

By moving so fast that he creates multiple copies of himself, Scyther gives the Murkrow the impression that they're surrounded by a pack of enemies. They squawk and cluster together, letting out cries of "KROW! MURKROW!" while getting ready to take flight.

One tries to strike a Scyther copy, and succeeds in making it vanish. Your partner is unharmed, fortunately, continuing to close in on the birds with a ring of illusory clones. The smallest Murkrow attempts to abandon the group, going high and making a break for the edge of the circle. Scyther, unfortunately, is sitting on a branch nearby.

The bird sends up a burst of feathers as it's cleaved. The attack hasn't taken it out immediately, but another hit ought to do it. It
topples to the ground and caws to its compatriots, who ignore it stalwartly and watch for an opening. Two of them attack together, sending out dual bursts of slicing wind in an attempt to strike the real copy.

The second one strikes him, causing his copies to all waver and turn watery for a second. They seem ready to make a break for it, until you shout a command once again.

All four of them caw in dismay, as the amount of copies double. To them, it looks like an entire armada of Scyther is descending on them. You continue the assault, having him close in with Fury Cutter one more time. It only gets stronger each use, unless he misses. The birds are forced on the defensive...
