Allowing a second of silence, you close your eyes and allow the Force to guide your words. “We need to get in there undetected. There is the possibility that local law enforcement members are either part of the cult or on their payroll. This is the best way to get information from them before we begin any interrogations and arrests. Only at the very end should we let the police support us. By that point, it should be too late for The Singularity even if we have a leak.”
Master Adacter nods and responds with quick short replies that would not be dissimilar to the words of a military officer, “Decent plan, I like it. Question: we can’t return to base to change, it’ll take too long, do you have a plan to get disguises?”
Almost sheepishly, you answer as you try to devise an idea, “Not… yet.”
“That’s fine. I know how to get some.” Master Adacter informs you.
Following the poised human further down the street, you watch as he peers into the windows of the decrepit huts that surround you, searching for something. Finally, he finds what he was looking for. Through the Force, you can feel the Jedi Master call upon a small fraction of his power. The window opens inwards with a creak that sounds louder than it has any right to be. You can’t see into the building, but all you can take note of is that there are no lights on within the structure. Adacter reaches into the building and withdraws a messy bundle of clothes.
He gently places half of the collection of fabric by your feet using the Force, all the while beginning to strip in the middle of the deserted alleyway. He gives a simple command, “Change.”
Finally, you and the Jedi Master are both clothed in ugly, tattered clothes that have been worn way too many times. The smell poisons your nose and forces a disgusted cringe to appear on your face. The pair of you look like down-in-the-luck beggars, but you’ve not seen a person on this lower level dressed any better apart from law enforcement and suspected gang members. You wrap a scarf around your lower face for now; while it is possible that you can use your Sith scars to gain clout, your face isn’t easily forgotten, so repeat missions could be problematic.
“We are father and son now if anyone asks,” Master Adacter instructs you. “We are new to the planet, trying to search for your mother. Your scars are from an abusive master we used to be indebted to. Use your discretion on revealing that your scars are written in Sith. Any questions.”
“No, sounds solid,” You reply and begin to follow him into the street, to be subsumed by the crowd.
