Can the Slurkers suck up purple pikmin? You think since they can suck up more then one at a time, it seems likely. What about greens- parasites from the inside? Orange pikmin can fly- could they also be a way to defend yourself?
As it goes; orange pikmin can't do much damage to the Slurkers before they appear- and purples can be sucked up but are really good at holding them down. Yellow pikmin are also surprisingly capable too- their sensitive ears seem able to detect the Slurkers moments before they strike- perhaps they can even feel the electro-chemical activity of the large jelly-like creatures just before an attack?
But you soon find the correct pikmin to lead the way are the Blue Pikmin. With their slime protecting them, they can't be dissolved fast enough in the creature's stomach. You only lose a small number of pikmin from this encounter.
Up ahead- you find something new. Deep underground here, a new subspecies of the Dwarf Bulborb- these ones white and covered in soft downy fur to adapt to the cold. Looking over your remaining Green Pikmin, you consider creating a few of the unnerving Bulbmin; this would mean losing out on the green pikmin in your army, but you may need them for something up ahead. Do you create some Bulbmin?
