Mel was in the front looking out for and disabling any traps. Cattleya was second in line, ready to respond to any attack. Gerty and Herta flanked your sides. Bertha was at the rear, just in case any opponent tried to attack from behind. She had been worried that the claustrophobic nature of dungeons would've denied her use of her hammer (and thus her new skill), but after some reassurances from you and the fact that there was enough space to swing it around, she was happy again.
These positions were decided after a slime rampage threatened to make you all turn back. It was only through copious amounts of Aether Wire and Gerty's expertise in spearing them that you were all able to turn the tide.
"...I still can't believe that's *the* Herta." Bertha comments.
"Honestly it was pretty obvious." Mel replies neutrally. A clicking noise can be heard. "Got it. We're safe to move up now."
"Master," Gerty said as you all walked forward. She'd been oddly quiet for awhile now. "I feel like there's going to be some trouble up ahead. Undeads." Gerty and Herta were both--at least slightly--aware of the presence of undead creatures, the former due to her Holy Knight class and the latter because she was a goddess with divine power.
"Oi, weren't you saying this was gonna be easy?" Cattleya voices.
"I said it wouldn't be too much for us to handle. And I still believe that." Gerty responds. Your cat doesn't reply, except for a small hum of agreement.
"Now that Gerty mentions it, I also sense something around. Probably skeletons? It's weak, so it's no big deal."
Just as Herta says that, you hear the rattling of bones and clanging of armor. But an unexpected surprise comes along them, with at least half a dozen golems ready to fight.
It takes some effort to fend them off, but eventually you all manage. Bertha was able to showcase her new technique; a skill allowing her to maneuver between allies as she viciously twirled her hammer with both hands, either for hitting multiple opponents at once or as a multi-hit attack against one larger opponent. Apparently it's a skill called Hammer Twister, but the specific coordinated version she's made technically doesn't have a name.
>You'll help her name it... (write-in)
>Let her choose a name for it. She'll find one eventually.
>Just leave it a Hammer Twister. It's less confusing that way.
You all fight well, with no damage dealt to any of you. Mel gets a few scares here and there, but you're able to defend her using Aether Wire. Gerty does especially well, but that could just be because of her class.
In some other news, you're able to obtain some scrap, which was hauled and carried up with pulleys.

It gets late, and you all decide to rest for the day. Exploring and fighting becomes the routine for the next couple of days, with a focus on...
