>>5695081>>5695090>>5695223>>5695267"So you know you are a creature of the sea. Mind showing me some of your abilities?" You invite her to do a little presentation of her magical attributes, but Isma quickly shakes her head.
"That's the weird part, I don't have a tail, or swim that fast, since my dad was a regular guy, Auntie Sivir told me that Isma might not be my real name, and my spirit name might help me in figuring out my fish powers, whatever that is" She comically stands on one feet to show her lack of a tail.
"What would your name have to do with awakening your merrow abilities?" Casca asks.
"Well, every spirit like to be called by their real name. If I went down to the Sea God's cove and called him Bob, he wouldn't even give me the time of day! Every creature of the astral is stronger when they are aware of the name their mom gave them. But since I've named mine, that's impossible for me."
That does make you wonder if that same rule applies to you. You've been known as Vlad your whole entire life, but that name was only given by your adoptive parents. If what Isma is saying is true, perhaps there is even more power to be discovered on your end even without clutching Sivir's magical pearl.
"Do you know where my mother is, though?"
"Nope. Ever since winter she stopped showing up to the place she used to visit. I've even tried searching for her, but I haven't found her yet. I'm starting to get worried..."
That aligns with when her orb cracked due to saving your life in Albion.
"Don't worry. I can sense her energy somewhere around here. It's just hard to be precise when The Sea God's stench is so strong."
"Really? That's great news!" Isma widens her smile. "Are you guys hungry? I can give you a little treat on my house as a thank you gift."
"We are flattered, but we came here to look for the Sea God right now, so we'd like to stay focused on our journey." Casca intervenes and remains focused.
"Aw... I know I live by myself, but my food tastes real good!" Isma frowns.
"Come on guys, I'm sure that wouldn't do any harm in visiting! Since she's half merrow and all, maybe we can find something else about the island!" Isidro argues, trying to hide how enamored he was by Isma.
>We didn't come here for sightseeing, let's go inside that cove already.>Sure, why not? Isma seems trustworthy enough.>You can stay there if you'd like, but Casca and I are going in.>Write-in.
