“And there! FALCON KICK!” Chuu Lee yells triumphantly as she knocks the purple one down to the ground, letting Lapis and Lazuli get Titanosaurus to safety.
Dad flies down, observing the two as they’re planted firmly in the dirt. “You know, I don’t really get what Towa wants with these guys, but you picked a REALLY bad time to try and take ‘em.” he says plainly.
“YOU THINK WE DON’T KNOW THAT?!” the green one growls at him after poking her head up out of the dirt. “Don’t you lecture us like we’re idiots when we’re just acting on orders!”
“...Your orders kinda suck though.” dad tells them.
Krillin bursts out laughing. “Hahahaha! Yeah, yeah they do. Look you gave us a good scare at first, but you rrreeeeaaally shouldn’t have gone after Gamera first.”
“I’ll say! Looks like I’m not the only ol’ turtle that’s got plenty of spunk left in ‘em, ehehehehe!” Roshi agrees, giving a thumb’s up at Gamera, who returns it.
Looks like you’re ready to have them turn tail and run-

“...Fuuuu, what are you planning?” you speak aloud… and sense out the brawl going on over where Peppa is. On that’s not good.

But… dad gets overconfident, and in an instant one of them gets him. And he’s just… gone. It’s not even like he gets injured, he just… vanishes into the shard of darkness. You’re almost too stunned to notice the next one headed your way, but thankfully you avoid it. That’s when you realize that these aren’t random, they’re TARGETED. Damn it! You see one headed towards grandpa Roshi, and your body almost acts without thinking as you move to shield him. Shin, however, is the one who comes to both your rescues. “Gohan, hurry, grab on before-!”
