That evening was… interesting. Students had been arriving all day at a steady rate, not too many since it was just summer semester, but still by the time you and your friends went to bed Sunday night? The common room was still buzzing a bit. You got introduced to a couple of Aubrey’s very few friends at the least., including “Vu-doo”, I.E. Christopher Vu, a third generation half Vietnamese-American, and Anna-Beth who may be a literal saint considering she had been putting up with Aubrey since they were in diapers. You ended up fleeing the common room at the end when Emmy asked Chris if he could make Pho or shrimp-fried rice; apparently, he could since his family owned a chain of Asian food spots in New York but it was still kind of mortifying. You got back at her the following morning, a voice loudening charm nearly scaring her pants off so you, her, and Macy could get up early enough for new student Orientation before DADA.
When all three of you made it down in your blue and cranberry? Aubrey was there, reading a new edition of the Quibbler upside down and looking eager; she insisted on walking you to Orientation after all of you had made a quick stop for some breakfast. They had waffles and tea, so that was all that mattered to you… and apparently no regulations to where you sat.
Not a ton of people up so early, but you saw boys and girls with Wampus Cat pins or patches sitting next to those with Horned Serpent or Puckwudgie ones. It was kind of nice, actually. Aubrey was chattering on about which hallways the Hat-Man haunted, and you just enjoyed yourself. Spoke for a minute to a cute Horned Serpent Boy you didn’t get the name of after he said he liked your accent. Drug the rest of your coterie out so you had enough time to make it to the Orientation, with Aubrey saying she would be waiting when it was done to help get Macy to Potions and the rest of you to DADA with her parents.
Went into a lecture hall filled half-way with students from 10 all the way to 17 in a dozen nationalities. Sat next to a pair who looked about your age with suspiciously similar features and brown hair; short and trimmed for the boy, long and unruly for the girl.
“Ah, Schwester. Friends. Americans. Up, up!”
“Bruder, you know I am still jet lagged… but hello. Mein Name ist Hilda. Sein Name ist Carlous, Carl to be brief. Nice to meet you… sisters?”
“Um… technically just the one who looks exactly like me, Macy she is my adoptive one though. And British, not American.”, you say blue eyes locked with their sets of turquoises ones. “I’m Jennifer. Emily is my twin. Macy is my other sister.”
“Ah, cool. Deutsch? Österreichisch? Ich kann ein bisschen sprechen!”, Macy chirps out, looks around Emmys fat tits some.
Deutsch. Und oh mein Gott, hier drüben spricht jemand eine zivilisierte Sprache!, the female part of the set calls out, looking far more awake now.
