>Turn the air conditioning off. If this place has limited power, you should turn off the AC when you leave. It'll also stop the place from turning chilly. Changing the temperature of the maintenance tunnels might mess things up for the Pokémon living there too.
You flick the switch and hear the machinery winding down, deciding to leave everything as you found it. Afterwards, you head straight for the exit. You've spent quite a bit of the day down here. You've caught a Joltik and gotten a Pokémon for Liam, which has taken up the usual time that you spend hunting. As the three of you reach the door, you hear voices in the distance. You pause and signal for him to stay quiet, not wanting to meet random people out here. A sense of panic feels you as you realize that your truck is still by the fence. If they took the same entrance, they would have seen it.
The fact that there are strangers out in the woods sparks up your paranoia. You remember when you got attacked by the Nickit, and the suspicious circumstances around it. You barely realize that you have a white-knuckled grip on the door until Liam nudges you.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I hear people. They're talking in the distance."
"Oh. Anyone that's troublesome to run into? It's technically trespassing to be here, right?"
"... Yeah. It'd suck to get found by the police or something. I don't like the idea of meeting people in the yard." You reply, pulling the door shut and staring at the chain that you cut earlier. It's not possible to seal this maintenance tunnel back up completely.
"You said the cops don't care."
"That's just what I was told, I don't want to test that..."
You stand there behind the door, in the darkness, while Liam and Scyther wait awkwardly behind you for an answer. The voices aren't distinct enough to make out anything other than their presence. However, after a short while, you grow impatient and push the door open slightly. You motion for Liam to stay put, but get Scyther to follow along with you. You sneak a few steps closer to the platform, trying to see if you can catch sight of whoever these visitors are.
To your relief, you recognize them both. It's Munroe and Brady! They're not gonna be up to anything strange, you hope, so you signal to Liam to come out.
