Several chapters consist of other characters narrating passively what is happening to him. Also, if you are wondering where that scene in the films comes from, when he is crucified on the Tree Of Woe, that scene comes from this story. The narrative is really clever and Conan showcases his wits when he tricks and deceives a formidable contingent of amassed enemy warriors. The heroine is also quite hot (at least in my imagination hehe) in this one.
