You familiar with this?” You glance to the dhampir, the broken watch in hand. You look its surface over one more time; it appears, for all intents and purposes, a broken watch complete with stray sprockets and gears and springs.
“No. But I very well doubt it’s just a watch if she’s so ready to exchange her magic for it.” Ava’s gaze is dark. “..Do what you think is best.”
You turn the watch over in your hands one more time and take a deep breath. “Very well. I’ll abide by the terms of your agreement.” You declare. You toss the watch to the undead. “This broken pocket watch to break my companion’s armor’s curse. Is that all?”
“I’m glad we were able to reach an agreement! It's good to see some here have common sense.” Ingrid beams as she slips the pocket watch into the open neck of her gown. “I’ll break your companion’s curse summarily. To do so will cost the armor, unfortunately; the very curse is what holds that plate together.”
“Get on with it.” Emilia’s lips are tight.
“Of course.” The undead traces a thin circle in the air with her palm–in turn, an ornate ring of white light hangs before you. “I’ll be on my way right after, though, so, before we part..”
“Ava.” Ingrid looks through you, toward the dhampir. She smiles sadly. “I only want things to go back to the way they were. I swear it.”
