He didn’t even need to say anything. Farren merely sighed. He finished his drink before gesturing for her to sit. “It’s getting late anyway. We gotta get back to the ship before it gets too dark.”
…hah. Her master was pushing the onus of ending today’s training on the time.
Not on her own weaknesses or shortcomings.
“Please have a drink, Ceyla.” He held the bottle in front of her. “Stun bolts can cause minor dehydration.”
She eventually acquiesced. Replacing her lightsaber on her hip, she gingerly took the bottle. The condensation was a balm against her flesh. And after so many hours, it tasted like the best water she’d ever had.
“…thanks,” she said in a small, quiet voice when she was finished. “…Master Farren, I-”
It was at that moment that her legs finally succumbed to exhaustion and gave out from beneath her. Her vision flickered, but she didn’t miss the hands that caught her before she hit the ground. The padawan’s cheeks burned a furious red, but she didn’t even have the energy to complain as Farren slung her across his back.
“…you okay?” he asked, tilting back to look at her.
The miraluka knew better than to fight, scream or insist that she could walk back to the ship on her own. All the more that she had no energy to do any of those things, and that he wouldn’t listen. Ceyla tightened her hands on her master’s shoulders, and her legs around his waist. Then, more against his back than into the open air, muttered: “…please don’t let the others see me like this.”
She didn't need (or want) to specify. But he nodded, smiling gently. “Of course.”
Ceyla watched as Mylus set over the mountains, and the skies open up to the stars of the wider galaxy. It was a slow journey, but one that gave her time to reflect upon her progress. All that had happened, and the looming tribulations that she would undoubtedly face as Farren’s padawan.
If this was going to be the first few weeks for the rest of her life…the young miraluka decided that she wouldn’t have it any other way.
>>For selecting {Intense} training, you unearthed two emotional weaknesses for Celya to work on improving, and the corelated skills used to overcome them.
>>{Light} training would have revealed none, while {Medium} training would have displayed only one.
>>During training, Farren identified two of the following emotional weaknesses in Ceyla:
>Anger (Cool). Ceyla is a patient girl, but has a sharp tongue and nasty temper that can be roused when her restraint starts to fray.
>Fear (Discipline). Through the Force, Ceyla sees and perceives many things…sometimes too much, and then nothing at all.
>Obstinance (Cool). Though a capable padawan, Ceyla has a stubborn streak that makes her too proud to acknowledge her limits.
>Recklessness (Discipline). Combat should be a last resort, but Ceyla often defaults to her lightsaber in order to resolve a problem.
