TalOS, through Particep Semper, felt the numerous batteries and attacks from the enemy as they attempted to pelt him from afar. As bullets and las fire slammed into the shileds of the Divine, the Princeps decided that enough was enough.
He first let out a powerful warhorn into the air. Those whose hearing was not augmented felt their ears burn and pop with the fury of a raging god. To answer his call the numerous Knights who were acting as his guardians blared their own horns in response to his declaration of divine wrath.
Then Particep Semper began to move, one step at a time, through the zones between the siege camp and the city. The defenses of the city began to throw everything they possibly had into the hull of the Mighty Avatar, but none of the attacks even went through the shielding that held Particep Semper aloft.
TalOS did not march alone as a dozen Knights walked around his feet as guardians. The largest, a Castellan who came up to the knees of the Imperator, let out a blast from his Volcano Lance that shredded whatever terrain that obstructed the incoming fleet. The rest marched with the Titan as they took no fire whatsoever.
Both the mortal and transhuman auxiliaries knew this chance was what they were waiting for. Numerous vehicles carrying men of all breeds were brought to the fore running in between the feet of these mighty war machines. Among these were the mighty Leman Russ which numbered one thousand in number.
When these tanks made it to an optimal position they began their bombardments against the shield. One after another they slammed into the protective walls that hid just behind the shielding system. Under the stress of so many attacks the Void Shield Network that was protecting the capital of this delinquent Empire could not defend against all of them.
As if knowing what was to happen numerous enemy tanks of motorized forces quickly began leaving their defenses and skirting the outside of the wall. They were not subtle about this owing to the fact that TalOS watched these movements from the comfort of the Throne Mechanicum.
With a thought he rearranged his forces to defend their flanks from the eventual encirclement. Using the speed of the Leman Russ and two of his venerable Knights they were to meet the enemy in combat at an angle. These forces were to hold out and retreat, buying time for TalOS to arrive upon the city in full force.
But nothing the enemy had could face a Titan.
