Finally, you reach the final chamber. Here, just past the Snagrit's lair, you find a small room with an unusual treasure on a small altar. The treasure of this dungeon are colorful seeds which seem somehow related to the Pikmin. Each is many colored, and smell very sweet- or so your AI tells you from your atmosphere filter data.
Within your ship, you've used your limited space in the cargo hold to store some Pikmin overnight- turning the windows in the ship to this planet's star to let them mature overnight. Now, that space goes to better use growing these unusual new plants. After some urging from a Pikmin, who almost seems to want to "jump in", you find out this species purpose.
These flowers can somehow change one pikmin into a pikmin of another type. Each flower slowly changes colors over time, allowing you to throw in Pikmin and transform them. However, pikmin thrown into this flower come out in seed form, meaning they'll lose their maturity. You so name these flowers Candypop Buds and can now use them to freely transform pikmin of one color to another- you can grow as many pikmin as you want and change their colors freely- the possibility of running out of pikmin, or needing to spend a day or two growing your pikmin's numbers of a depleted color is now in the past.
While not directly helping your survival, you get the feeling a useful find like this flower hints at the sort of things you may find within the various dungeons on this strange, alien planet...
Now with this newfound flexibility; it is also possible to keep an army of one specific Pikmin type around, if you wanted. Do you have one type of Pikmin you favor over the others? Or do you want to keep them more balanced, using the bulbs to average them out?
>Build an army of one main type (specify)
>No, keep the Pikmin balanced between the colors
