>>5318434You flip idly through the caster’s spellbook, but struggle with the unfamiliar magical principles therein, seemingly all related to the summoning-up of energy to convert into elemental energy—something like what your still-unused Ring of Elemental Command does, but using power from within rather than captured elemental entities. You suppose it’s not unlike your firebreath… Hmm, interesting.
“Kobolds are loaded and ready,” Glowie informs you.
You close the book and tuck it away for future study, perhaps with the Novice’s aid. She has replaced her cloak with that of the dead rogue, you note. It is a small for her, as the wealth-laden thief was some sort of halfling, upon closer inspection; it’s more like a capelet. However, her existing cloak was too dirty and ragged from her battle, and soaked in her peculiar bluish blood. The kobolds have avoided her ever since the end of the battle, wary of her obvious strangeness, though they do not know her exact nature. This also leaves her bottom half unclad, lewdly exposed... A situation not uncommon to the kobolds, you note, but frankly inappropriate for a female of the Master Race--which IS, after all, what she is masquerading as. For the sake of modesty, you help her fashion a makeshift skirt from some miscellaneous cloth in one of the homes here; she hums happily as you tie it around her waist, reveling in the accidental embrace and in your touch, chaste as it is.
You take one last look at this now twice-forsaken place, and hope to have seen the last of it.
