“BARRIER!” you roar, emerald energy forming a shielding dome around the four of you. And not a moment too soon, as the instant your energy hardens the forseen beams slam into your shield. Directly aimed at your daughter! “Tch! You bastard!”
“Why would you bring a child into this?!” he demands, your daughter and Imagine Dragon summoning not one of those healing flasks, but one of the healing items that Daiko's predecessor had made and stored within the black cube. She offers it to him, the man struggling to raise a hand to accept it.
“Here, just chew it up good and swallow. You'll feel much better in a few seconds.” Okira tells him, putting the capsule in his mouth and drawing her hand back. The monster ends its beams, leaping into the air to crash down onto the four of you.
“Ubo!” you shout, dropping your Barrier. Immediately he knows your plan, kicking off the ground and launching himself up and at the monster. But as Ubo closes the distance, the monster strikes first. Slamming its fist into Ubo's face, sending him crashing back down to the ground by you, Superman, and Okira.
“GRRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAR!!” the monster bellows, pounding on its chest while falling towards the ground.
“Tch!” Superman grunts, pushing himself up to his feet and looking his hands over, then turning to Okira. “Thank you. What was that?”
“I dunno. Something Daiko's teacher cooked up to repair damage you take fighting.” she replies, Superman patting her on the head before turning to you. “I appreciate the help, but this is my fight.”
“No, brother. This is our fight.” Ubo tells him, flipping back up to his feet easily. “I won't leave a fellow Kryptonian to fight a monster like this on his own.”
“Wait, you're...?” he asks, looking to Ubo with wide eyes. But before he can ask any more questions the monster lands, crashing to the ground out of sight.
