“Technically speaking, these are not my powers. But I like them.” You sound vague to not raise more questions. “They’re what they are, they don’t make me special.”
“You don’t look like you’re channeling another spirit’s power…” The little Fiora knows a lot about how these powers work and manifest. Makes you wonder if she can see your flame, but if she did, she would’ve mentioned it, right? “I didn’t know you could do that. How does that not make you exceptional?”
“We all have our perks, Fiora. That’s what Phil is trying to say.” Kobashi is trying to use this as a teaching moment. “Nobody can bring a baddie behind the bars better than I.” One part of you thinks it’s not appropriate to say after taking her so-awful foster mother into jail…
“And maybe you didn’t know it was possible.” You wiggle your eyebrows.
“A-Are you saying you made this possible?! You’re incredible!” Fiora is in awe.
“No, I meant that your mom likely didn’t know or teach it to you yet.” You shrug. “I’m no expert either, so who knows?”
“You didn’t have a teacher?” Fiora can’t imagine it.
“It’s complicated.” You didn’t know you could do it, until you did, even though Philonune taught you the basics. This stuff is more intuitive than you’d like to admit. “Tell me about yours! What did your mom teach you?”
“A lot.” Fiora can tell you’re curious, and she’ll try to milk your interest for her own amusement. “Everything to realize our potential!”
You’ll have to be a little more specific to get some answers.
<span class="mu-s">What do you do?</span>
>“How did she know you had potential?” This could be useful to know in present times to find people like you before getting Philonune, Bradford or Kata!
>“What exactly did she teach you about spiritual powers?” Maybe you can learn key elements about the nature of all of this crap!
>“Tell me about the real cool stuff!” Make Fiora talk about what makes her passionate.
>“You’ll have to keep this quiet outside, y’know? Keep it between us.” Reinforce the limits her mother probably taught her. The world isn’t prepared for Psychics! Or mediums! Or spiritualists! Well, ones that aren’t actually frauds.
