Yes the Yamnaya did not make it to Western Europe but their genetic and cultural brother did (Corded Ware).
Yamnaya and Corded Ware are brothers who share archeological connections to Sredny Stog. It also looks like they will share a genetic connection as well (when the samples are published). There is no other culture than Sredny Stog which fits better as the homeland.
