>Team CYou were assigned to team C, a group of 9 people that included, Ghal and Ihlist.
Your mission was to escort the group of religious rune crafters into what they suspected was the place the god of law was struck down.
That seemed like a poor idea to you, but you had no say on the charted path.
So you set to the city with no horses, as they would be useless with the blocked streets and the amount of rubble.
Another poor decision in your mind, since while it made the team more agile, it also made it slower.
The sky was still grey while the wind had stopped, the only sound was of the ash cracking beneath each step.
There was no entrance to the city, only a transition of gravel in the outskirts to the ruins that stood above you and finally decayed buildings that leaned into each other.
Several of which collapsed under the strain and blocked streets with their carcasses.
The buildings themselves were covered in a thin layer of soot and rust, some partially deconstructed.
The unwanted materials teared out and thrown into the street.
While traveling you saw a few things that picked your interest, like a old rusted car that looked fairly modern,
the skyscrapers in the distance with some kind of jury rigged platforms connecting them and that despite all the ruble, some paths were cleared.
And by the tracks it was done recently, so there was at least a group of twelve moving around.
More confusingly, the footprints were of significantly different sizes.
Some looked like children’s footgear while one set was absurdly large.

The group kept advancing, finally reaching their destination.
A crater so large you could barely see the other side, the surface was burned and the scattered ruins decorating the expanse didn’t match the city.
Jagged stone obelisks covered in runes were scattered across the place.
“Here it is, the possible site Qothos was shattered by the demon lord. Prepare yourselves, we are going in. “ The expedition leader exclaimed.
*Oh no* you thought to yourself, if the group started walking in such an open space it would be very easy to spot you from the rim of the crater.
And with the little cover this place had you would be sitting ducks, counting that they would even bother to stop you from going inside and not wait for you hidden in the buildings.
You looked at the group, Ghal seemed to have realize the same thing, while Ihlist didn’t care and just stayed a bit closer to the dwarven mercenaries.
What will you do? [Roll 1d20 Bo3]
