The dilapidated castle was a point of interest for me in Blickery township. In the past, despite being as poor as they were, the people of Blickery managed to build this shoddy palace brick by brick for their beloved Countess and Count. I can't imagine how much sweat must had went into building it, even as small as it was for a keep. The poverty showed even in the place of their leaders.
I came up to the keep, and I looked at the walls, falling to dismay and disrepair. The brick was faded, and the walls were growing up with moss and the thorns. The castle had no windows, not even back in its heyday did I guess it had any. I wandered in through the front, cloaked in extrasensory invisibility as I soundlessly stepped through the hall. I saw the entrance room, split between halls that lead throughout the keep. Some were in such disrepair, they had collapsed completely. The Beasts that still wandered through here just walked through the holes in the wall, rather than making an effort to clean up. I saw pairs of them draped in white sheets that were torn and tattered, mumbling something... trying to recite words through their garbled and almost completely distorted voices changed by their Beastly throats. It was a sad sight, and I took it that these Beasts that dressed themselves were something of personal servants to Morwenna. Attendants, perhaps, following her still to this day, even after the Blight had gripped them firmly.
[MAJORDOMO] "Muna, be honest with me... if the Beastkin are all infected with a Blight that came straight from the underworld, do you really believe they can be helped?"
'I hope as much, Majordomo.'
[MAJORDOMO] "And what if they can't? What if they're beyond helping? After what HEUS done to em'..."
'...Then the least I could do is give the Beastkin merciful deaths, to free them from this.'
[MAJORDOMO] "Their souls will just go to HEUS anyway."
'Yes. But when HEUS is destroyed, are all the souls he has taken not to be released? Set free?'
I continued to pass through the halls. I looked up and saw paintings framed on the walls. Portraits of people.
[JOCO] "Who, exactly?"
A brunette woman in purple clothing, striped clothing with flowery accents. Morwenna, when she was human. When she was not a horrible monstrosity that can barely be viewed. Before she became a Goddess by the boon of the Emperor. And next to her, a portrait of a large and brawny man with long, jet black hair and sideburns. He wore a hood. Morgrim, before his ascension to Demigodhood. Back when he was sane, and human like her Back when they were siblings and nothing more. Back when Blickery fought off the Blight from the thorns, rather than embrace it. Before Huangdi came and...
